Celebrate Jesus!
Greetings!
I pray that you all had a blessed Thanksgiving with wonderful food and pleasant company. Wee Care is very thankful for all it has, a great staff, beautiful children and the support of our church family. Christmas is upon us and oh, how we need to remember what Christmas is really about especially since times have been tough for so many. It can get busy so remember to slow down and enjoy Christmas for what it is, a celebration of Jesus’ birth. The children will be enjoying our themes of Christmas, with all the bells, reindeer, sleighs and Santa, let us not forget the real reason for this season and that is Jesus Christ. God has blessed us with the gift of his son; this is a gift that keeps on giving. Remember to share the story of Jesus’ birth this Christmas. Let the love of Jesus shine bright this season. Our letters this month are Y, I and X. The color this month is white and red. The shape this month is a square and the numbers are 7 and 8. Our Theme is a “Winter Wonderland”. In Chapel the children will continue to work on their memory verse Matthew 22: 37-38 Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. I think of how Jesus is strong when we are weak and how he lets the light shine through when there is darkness. I thank God for the gift of Jesus every day and how much he loves each and every one of us unconditionally. In our chapel time, we will also start sharing about the joy of the angel’s announcement of Jesus’ birth and the shepherds as they visited Jesus. We will share how the wise men traveled so far to find this special child. This Christmas remember to keep joy in your heart. Remember what Christmas is truly about. Spend time with family and friends and share the Christmas story with someone, let them know what it means to you. It could be the best gift you’ll ever give. God bless you and your families this Christmas and may you have a Christmas unlike no other, full great joy that only He can give! Memory Verse: John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Love in Christ, Vicki Gordon and our Wee Care Staff
